Lost Coast Round 2

Unfortunately, Burke was too traumatized from the first Lost Coast trip to consider attempting it again in the rain. I, however, was ready to give it another go, and despite the ominous weather, agreed to take the lads from Chico out on the trip. In hindsight, Burke was the wiser of the two. We ended up getting a really late start since one of the group had a final that morning; leaving the trailhead at 17:00, with the rain starting to pick up. It soon became clear that we would not make it through the low tide section before the tide came in, so we started looking for a place to camp above the high tide point. We found a break in the cliffs that had a path going up to the top, which we quickly got onto. Once we made it up, we started setting up camp. It soon became clear that we were not going to get the tents up due to the intense wind and rain. Soaking wet and low spirits, we huddled under the Noah's Tarp until the tide started going out, and turned back early.
