Lost Coast November 2018
Despite the bad weather, Burke and I decided to tackle the lost cost. We started our hike in the rain, but it quickly burned off into a beautiful blue sky. We were both very impressed with the landscape surrounding us. One of the perks of backpacking the lost coast in a rainstorm in November is that we did not see any other people on the duration of our trip. Once we made it to Big Flat, we started setting up camp. We managed to make it through the entire evening with little to no rain, though we were prepared for the rain. Once it started raining, it didn't stop! Our tent rainfly gave out, and the tent flooded. I have never been so cold as I was, laying in my soaking wet down sleeping bag, waiting for it to end. We ended up putting a tarp over the tent in the trees, which kept us from getting wetter, but the damage was done.
